I know we keep repeating ourselves but this is definitely the time of year to chose interactive and creative activities. Try one or both of these for some much-needed variety:

1. Help your student express gratitude AND practice writing: work with them to write a thank you letter to a teacher or parent (bringing in an actual thank you card would be an added bonus).
2. Use magnetic letters or letter flashcards to form real or made-up CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words to sound out.
