Consistency is so crucial in building relationships.  Also, adding variety to your sessions and literacy games (especially at this point in the year) will help with relationships, too!  Here you go:

• Sometimes things come up that are beyond your control, however, please make every effort to make it to tutoring weekly. Remember, contact your volunteer coordinator if you need to miss or will be late.
• This is a perfect time to start playing literacy games! Check out the Student Center Activities made by Florida’s Center for Reading Research. (http://www.fcrr.org/curriculum/SCAindex.shtm) for our favorite games. Some printing and cutting will be involved. If you don’t have a printer, consider sharing games with other tutors.
